Seattle Times Editorial on Disclosure of Records by Life Sciences Discovery Fund

The Seattle Times editorializes on the Life Sciences Discovery Fund, a state venture capital fund consisting of $350 million in tax money to provide investment to bio-tech companies. The law creating the Fund allows much of the information about the projects funded with tax money to remain secret. A past og-blog posting discusses the secrecy of the records held by the Fund.

The Times writes: "Public accountability should go like Velcro with public money. The people deserve to know how — and how well — their money is being spent."
